Today's Theme...Committment

Day 3 of Shanel's Gratitude Challenge is COMMITTMENT!

I wrote a FOUR page entry in my journal this morning. I had a lot to say about committment. :0) I'm working on a little sumthin sumthin. Lol. Nah I'm taking a step towards what brings me joy. That is many things but in this particular case it's photography. I have been away for too long.

I was pretty good with my picture taking. I also have loads of photos that I have taken with my digital camera that I bought myself for my 28th birthday. That's almost four years of pictures. I'm going to work with those with Photoshop CS4. I went ahead and bought a tutorial book with a DVD to help me with the software. I should be receiving it soon. Then I'm going to be a Photoshopping fiend. Lol. That's the first bullet point.

My second bullet point is to do any photo assignments that I can find. I have two sites where I can pull assignments from that will get the cobwebs off of my photo taking skills. They look fun too but then again I love taking pictures.

My third bullet point is to attend and participate in photo workshops and classes around my area. Now those will be fun as well. I can learn about new techniques, new equipment such as lighting, etc. All kinds of things. There are so many things that I can learn. :0)

The great thing about this is that I can do all of this from anywhere. I am also looking at moving. I've been in this place for too long. It's time for me to go.

Ok so about committment. I have always had HUGE issues with doing that in the past. Even when I tried I still could not do it. It's something that I constantly have to work on. Yes...I am a work in progress. I am saying it loud now...I COMMIT TO ME INCREASING MY KNOWLEDGE IN PHOTOGRAPHY AND DOING SOMETHING WITH IT...THIS TIME!!! The big thing is doing something with it. I believe I will this time around. I won't let anything distract me this time. :0)

Today is a great day. I woke up feeling refreshed and blessed. I'm still feeling good. :0)
