My Comfort Zone

So I went out last night with a bunch of new folks. It was Karaoke night. Now I don't do karaoke...well at least I didn't until last night. Lol. I was a karaoke singing fool last night. I went COMPLETELY out of my comfort zone...and loved every minute of it. I sounded horrible towards the end...I wasn't used to doing all that singing. Lol. It was a good time though. I MAY do it again...not sure. Lol.

Right now I'm just chillin. I'm going to be going out tonight and want to be 100%. It's going to be working on my vision board (it's an ongoing project...always changing), maybe some laundry, and other household chores. It's all about me today...well actually it should ALWAYS be about me. I'm the one that's lost after all. I'm the one that has to get it together.

I know what I NEED to do. I need to get out of my comfort zone more often. This living in fear thing is ridiculous. If I don't take the opportunity when it is presented then I need to take the risk of not having that opportunity again. Then there's regret and all that mess and I really don't have time for that. Missing something sucks. You can't get that time back.

I was kind of in that boat earlier this afternoon. I was going over and over in my head why I never started my own photography business. And sure as *ish I explained it to myself why. Yes I talk to myself often. I never started this business because I didn't want it to feel like work. If it felt like work then I will feel OBLIGATED to do it and will no longer enjoy it. Man, I talk myself out of a lot of crap. I've been doing it for years.

I'm trying to make an effort of not talking myself out of things and just doing them. I did a pretty good job with the karaoke last night. I also did it with a few of my Meetup.com groups that I am a part of. Meeting new people and hanging out with folks who share the same interests. That's a great start. Now what's next? I don't know. We'll see what I can get into. :D
