Me & My Constant Planning
>> 23 October 2009
During my daily duties today I did a little bit of planning. If you know me I'm always planning something. It's something that I really need to stop doing...I just need to DO whatever it is I'm planning on doing. You ever see that movie "What Happens in Vegas"? I'm the same way I've found...planning to make plans.
My plan is in multiple parts...which is my first problem. Lol. I'm planning a move, right? Ok so I'm figuring out how far I'm driving, how much gas I'm going to need, how much that gas is going to cost, where I'm going to stay and how much that is going to be, and the big question...what I'm going to take with me. That's the first leg. The other legs are me coming back to get my stuff and driving it there as well. What will I use since I'm not bringing the Jeep back. Since I'm not bringing the Jeep back I'll be flying down and what...taking a U-Haul back east?
There are a lot of factors that I need to consider. Currently I believe that I am making this a bit hard on myself - it's something that I do constantly anyway which is why nothing gets done. Lol. A lot of these factors can be omitted from the scene if I just get my head out of my you know what.
Basically what I need for my move:
My Jeep, my toiletries (hair, body, etc), my clothes, my computers, a few books (especially for my business), and my camera gear.
That's about all that I can think of for me to be cool. Everything else I can purchase when I get there - all of my kitchen gear, bedroom, bath, and living area. It may be cheaper just to do it that way instead of trying to haul it all literally half way across the country.
So I guess the question now is when do I take care of all of my stuff that is still here in the heartland region? I can probably have some kind of garage sale or something in the spring. I really do not want to do anything now with it being the fall going into winter. That is an idea. The hard part is going to be getting rid of or selling sentimental items that I have acquired or been given over the years. Well I have until spring to work that out.
So I believe that I just hashed out my plan right here in my blog. How funny is that? Lol. To sum up all I need to go are my few essentials. The rest will either be given away, sold, or thrown away. Now that sounds like a wonderful plan to me! :0)
