Yes...I Have Been Slacking!

>> 10 February 2010

I'm thinking of revamping the blog again.  Currently I have a lot of ideas and I'm trying to get them all together so that they all make sense.  They are all over the place right now.  My issue...I want to do to many things.  What I'm doing is seeing what will actually work for me.  I have a pretty good idea now...everything has been a total mess for the past few weeks.

My idea:
I want to have a website showcasing...well me!  Lol.  This site will be a portal to other things that I am doing.  Ok so for example I am a real estate consultant.  I will have a link on this site to go to my real estate business site.  I also like to blog (when I actually get to it).  So I will have another link pointing folks to my blog site.  My blog site will have no specific theme.  Pretty much just me living life.  I have recently opened up a personalized gift store on the web so guess what...there will be a link that goes there as well.  Once I get my ars in gear with my photography I will have a link for that as well to go with my personalized gift store.  See?  I like to do a lot of things.  Lol.

Let's recap...a main page that points people to the different aspects of ME.  Not to bad if I say so myself.  It's all a work in progress.  :D  ♥

Living Fearlessly Thus Far...

>> 11 January 2010

No there is still plenty of fear in my being.  There have been a few things that I've acted on since the new year began.  That's always a good thing.  What I need to do is continue to ACT.  Action is what generates results.  That is what I need in my life is a whole lot of results.  Yup yup...a work in progress.

I spent some time at my local bar last night having a few cold ones and catching up in my journal.  I did not start a new journal for the new year...I still had space in the old one.  There's no point in wasting the paper so I just continued on in the old one...besides a full year can't fit in one of those journals.  Lol.  Anyhoo, I was at my bar for quite a bit catching up.  Even though I was in my little corner I kept getting interrupted.  It's cool though...they are all good people and they bought all my beer that night.  Good folks!

I had an interesting start to my new year.  Finally got paid which is always good.  Got snowed in and decided to stick it out and hang out for the rest of the week into the weekend.  Hung out with some great folks.  Had to say goodbye to my old college girl and her daughter.  Hanging out with some old co-workers from the "just because" job I took back in October.  They are all good peoples!  Good times had by all!  Especially my boy Tony...he has the most adorable son ever!  :0)  The ladies need to watch out when he gets older.

I've had a number of lonely moments but that is to be expected of a single woman.  So I've been keeping myself busy.  Taking pictures as much as I can, hanging out outside of the house no matter where it is, reading, etc.  Being unattached has it's benefits but it also has it's drawbacks.  It's going to be a good minute before I start dating again, especially since I'm moving.  I'm not going to know none of them cats back east.  Yes I know that dating is getting to know someone but not in the first few months while I'm there.  This is a rebuilding year for me...I gotta get to it, through it, and claim victory!

I really hate to admit it but I'm going to miss KC...a little.  It's mostly the people and not necessarily the actual city.  I can always come back to visit and they sure can come to see me anytime.  Again, still some work to be done about this living fearlessly gig but hey...nothing changes overnight, right?  Baby steps!

I Follow A Lot Of Blogs

>> 25 November 2009

I don't follow as many blogs as some but there are quite a few that I'm tracking.  Not all of them post often but for the ones that do I'm right there reading them.  It's kind of like taking the time to read the paper every morning except I'm reading everyone's thoughts and experiences.

I'm glad that I got into blogging.  It's giving me a release that regular journaling just could not give me.  I still do journal about the truly crazy things that enter my mind, body changes, etc.  Blogging lets me share.

I am so into this blogging phenomenon that I spent about three hours trying to find suitable templates for this blog as well as another blog I'm thinking about launching the beginning the next year.  My second blog is actually the very first one that I created back in September.  It was private and acted as my diary.  Not satisfied with it I created this wonderful blog you are reading now.

I came up with themes for each blog.  This blog will be my everyday "what's going on with me" blog with photos and images of what I am doing, what I am creating and what I am getting into.  The other blog will be a food blog of some sort.  I have it labeled as a travel, food, and photography blog.  Basically I will be taking pictures of food that I eat, cook, and bake while both traveling and staying at home.  Recipes will be provided for everything that I try if they are available (some restaurants do not provide recipes) and credit will be given when due.

Since I am in transition I cannot launch my food blog until next year.  I am not sure when next year but it will be launched when it is the right time to launch it.  I have always enjoyed cooking/baking and would love to share those experiences with all of you as well.  It's great therapy for me.  :-)

I'm still on the lookout for great blogs to follow.  Food, style, travel, empowerment, spiritual, etc.  Bring em on!

Until next time...
